My dear readers, I hope this quick note finds you well. I’ve debated writing this for a day or two but felt I should. To all of you who bought Last Port of Call, thank you so much. If you purchased it in the days after launch, you will no doubt have noticed lots of typos and editing errors. This mistake is 100% mine. My editors are wonderful, as well as my advance team, but I uploaded the pre-edited file in error. It has been resolved now and you will have received an email from Amazon inviting you to download the correct version of the book. It can be done in the ‘manage my content’ section of your Amazon page. If you have any trouble at all with it please get back to me and I’ll do my best to help. I normally take great care to ensure the book is the best it can be, but recently both of my darling parents have been diagnosed with incurable cancers. They are young and it has broken our hearts. It has left us reeling as a family as we are exceptionally close, and all I can say is that my mind was elsewhere when I made the mistake. I’m really sorry. Unfortunately, the reviews that mention the bad editing are growing, which is distressing, but there is little I can do apart from repairing the mistake and hoping for the best.
