A story that began with me in a dusty attic of an old convent in Queensland, Australia, is born today!

Thank you all so much for sticking with me. Today is launch day and it never gets old. This is book #18 and for me it’s a particularly special one.

You all know the story of how this book came to be, so I wont tell you it again, (it’s in the back of the book if you don’t know it!) but I do want you to know this. As you’ve probably gathered, I’m a one woman band here. I do the writing, the marketing, the emailing etc. I don’t have a big publishing house, nor an agent, there’s just me. I rely on my wonderful freelance editors and advance team, my cover designer, to make sure my books are as good as they can be, but buying one of my books is the literary equivalent of shopping at a country market. 🙂

So if you buy this book today, you are not just (hopefully) getting a great story, but you are also supporting me and my family. And for that I am very grateful.

Some extracts from early reviews:

‘Jean Grainger is an excellent author working her magic on her books. I have every book she has written but is by far the best book she has ever written and all her books are marvellous. Her characters feel like old friends. I was living the emotions, enjoying the scenery and wild life as if I was actually there and feeling the fright that Sister Claire exposes her to.’

‘The Australian bush described is certainly different from her usual setting of the lush Irish It was so interesting to learn some history about Australia. I felt like I was living there with Jean’s wonderful descriptions about the land, the animals, the feel of Australia. The story is filled with adventure, suspense, a bit of romance thrown in and just about everything you could ask for.

‘It’s amazing how Jean brings everything to life, her characters, the country. I never want her books to end. Do yourself a favor and read it., but the story and characters are as enthralling and well-developed as always. Don’t miss this one – another win for this amazing author.’

‘I enjoyed this book tremendously. The author makes her characters come alive, and when I reached the end of the book, I knew I would miss them.’

So there you have it! A random selection of what people have to say about this book, which fills my Irish heart with joy and relief I can assure you!

Le grá agus buiochas,

Jean x
